Storyline
In 1994, the Kingdom of Corea is shaken by a brutal betrayal. The King is murdered by his own brother, Lee Lim, who seeks the Manpasikjeok—a legendary flute said to possess supernatural powers. During the chaos, the King's young son, Lee Gon, is stabbed in the neck but miraculously survives. A mysterious figure armed with a gun intervenes, forcing Lee Lim to flee with only half of the now-broken flute. The young Lee Gon clutches a police badge dropped by his savior—a badge issued in the future, dated November 11, 2019, for Lieutenant Jeong Tae Eul.
The following day, Lee Gon ascends the throne as the new ruler of the Kingdom of Corea. 25 years later, in the autumn of 2019, King Lee Gon governs his nation as a wise and compassionate leader, still haunted by the mysteries of his past and the origins of the police badge. Meanwhile, in the Republic of Korea, Jeong Tae Eul serves as a detective in the Violent Crimes Division at the Seoul Jongo Police Station—unaware that her destiny is deeply intertwined with that of a king from another world.
